![]() In area 7 I have added some ropes and bits of wood to the makeshift dams/flood traps so that there is a quick and easy way for the goblins to feasibly trigger the trap. Once inside, there is an extra chain in area 3 (perhaps there was a 4th wolf at some point, or maybe Ripper is down there on occasion when not by Klarg's side). The trail becomes slightly more pronounced near the entrance and a couple of stepping stones are in place to cross the creek as the Cragmaws come and go from their hideout. On first glance, you will notice that the area to the south of the entrance has been expanded to give players some more options on approach - the map should match well in terms of feel to the goblin ambush map suggesting this is just a few minutes up the hidden trail from the ambush site. ![]() As with all my maps for published adventures, this one should match the descriptions fairly closely. "The passage is suddenly filled with a mighty roar, as a huge surge of rushing water pours down from above!"įor me, the triggering of this trap was one of the most memorable moments of my first campaign as a DM, so I'm excited to share this map and some extra elements to bring it alive in your game. (My players avoided being washed out of the cave but got themselves deep into trouble inside tried to con their way out failed tried to fight which didn't go well and ended up dragging 2 unconscious party members from the cave.)Ĭragmaw Hideout, home to Klarg and his tribe of bandits, located just off the Triboar Trail, perfect to plunder loot from unsuspecting travelers.
